Intermediate Beginner Figure Skating

Skaters who have mastered the basics can progress to more advanced and challenging skating skills. Skaters in this group learn how to turn “swizzles” into correct forward stroking; skills include one-foot glides, two-foot turns, slaloms, forward edges on the circle, and beginning forward crossovers.

Helmets or thick hats and mittens/gloves are recommended. Skate rentals are included if your skater does not have their own.

Instructors may determine that your child should be in another skill level and may switch kids as necessary so they benefit the most from the program.
